Northern Force “FIRST Robotics” Team 172 has kicked off a new and exciting season by quickly expanding to include over 50 students from Falmouth, Gorham, Cheverus, and Deering High Schools. This season brings a new challenge and new opportunities for these talented high school students to, once again, work with professional mentors and become excited about science and technology.

The team is a part of FIRST Robotics (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology), an organization with a mission to inspire young people to be science and technology leaders. FIRST Robotics engages students in exciting mentor-based programs that build science, engineering and technology skills. It inspires innovation and fosters well-rounded life capabilities including self-confidence, communication, and leadership.
